Safety Devices

Overflow valve

The overflow valve prevents the permissible working pressure from being exceeded.

Pressure switch

If the trigger gun lever is released, the pressure switch turns off the pump, stopping the high-pressure jet.

Before Startup

Unpacking

Check the contents of the pack before unpacking. Inform the vendor immediately of any transport damage.

Start up

Electrical connection

Danger of electric shock. Appliance must only be connected to alternating current and properly installed electrical supply.

Water connection

Observe water supplier regulations. Use a system separator for drinking water supply connections to prevent contamination.

Suck in water from vessel

Deaerate the appliance by unscrewing the nozzle and running until water is bubble-free.

Operation

Select spray type

Close the hand spray gun. Turn the nozzle casing until the desired symbol matches the marking.

Operation with detergent

Use only Kärcher approved detergents to avoid damage to the appliance and object being cleaned.

Recommended cleaning method

Spray detergent sparingly on dry surface, let react but not dry. Spray off dirt with high-pressure ray.

Maintenance and care

Safety inspection/ maintenance contract

Consider signing a contract with your dealer for regular safety inspection or maintenance services.

Before each use

Check connection cable for damages (risk of electrical shock) and replace if damaged by authorized service.

Troubleshooting

Appliance is not running

Check connection cable, supply voltage. Call Customer Service for electrical defects or issues not covered.

Pressure does not build up in the appliance

Ensure correct nozzle, clean/replace nozzle, de-aerate appliance, check water supply, and inlet pipes.

Pump leaky

Minor leaks (3 drops/min) are normal. Call Customer Service for heavy leakage or issues with stronger leaks.

Pump is vibrating

Check suction pipes for water and detergent and ensure they are leak-proof. Operate without detergent if necessary.

Detergent is not getting sucked in

Set nozzle to 'CHEM'. Check/clean detergent suction hose with filter. Check/clean detergent dosing valve.
