    Why won't my Kärcher K 260 M motor start?
    • L
      lauren32Aug 13, 2025
Your Kärcher Pressure Washer motor might not start because the On/Off switch is in the “OFF” position. Turn the switch to the “ON” position. Also, check if the power cord is not plugged in and plug it in. The extension cord might be too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged, so replace the extension cord with either a 25 ft. 12/2 gauge cord or a 50 ft. 10/2 gauge cord. The electrical outlet may not supply adequate power, so try a different outlet. Finally, the circuit breaker might be tripped, so reset the breaker (power supply) or ground fault circuit interrupter.

What to do if my Kärcher K 260 M has no detergent?
    • M
      Matthew RothAug 16, 2025
If your Kärcher Pressure Washer is not dispensing detergent, check the detergent suction tube connection to the machine. Ensure it's properly connected. If the detergent is too thick, dilute it; for best results, use Kärcher detergent. Also, the filter on the detergent suction tube might be clogged; run warm water through the filter to remove debris. Check for a damaged or clogged detergent suction tube and remove any obstruction or replace the tube if necessary. Finally, make sure the spray wand is in the low-pressure position.

Why is my Kärcher K 260 M Pressure Washer output pressure varying high and low?
    • E
      ericakellyAug 20, 2025
The output pressure of your Kärcher Pressure Washer might vary due to several reasons. Ensure you have enough inlet water supply by turning the water on full force and checking the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. The pump might be sucking air; check that hoses and fittings are airtight, then turn off the machine and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. A clogged water inlet filter can also cause this issue; remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. Additionally, the discharge nozzle could be obstructed; blow it out or remove debris with a fine needle. Lastly, the gun, hose, or spray wand could be calcified; run distilled vinegar through the detergent suction tube.

How to fix a Kärcher K 260 M Pressure Washer that doesn't reach high pressure?
    • B
      Barry StoneAug 25, 2025
If your Kärcher Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, first, ensure that you are using a 3/4 inch garden hose, as a smaller diameter can restrict water flow. Check the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages that might be restricting the water supply. Make sure the water source is fully open to provide enough inlet water. Clean the water inlet filter by removing it and rinsing it in warm water. Finally, verify that the spray wand is set to the high-pressure position.

How to fix a Kärcher Pressure Washer spray wand or spray wand extension leak?
    • L
      Laura ShawAug 31, 2025
If your Kärcher Pressure Washer spray wand or extension is leaking, make sure the spray wand is properly inserted into the spray wand extension by pressing it against the spring tension and twisting it into the locked position. Also, ensure the spray wand extension is correctly attached by sliding it into the gun and turning the wand collar clockwise onto the gun threads until tight. If the issue persists, there may be a broken o-ring or plastic insert.
