  Your Kärcher Pressure Washer motor might not start because the On/Off switch is in the “OFF” position. Turn the switch to the “ON” position. Also, check if the power cord is not plugged in and plug it in. The extension cord might be too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged, so replace the extension cord with either a 25 ft. 12/2 gauge cord or a 50 ft. 10/2 gauge cord. The electrical outlet may not supply adequate power, so try a different outlet. Finally, the circuit breaker might be tripped, so reset the breaker (power supply) or ground fault circuit interrupter.

Check for a damaged or clogged detergent suction tube and remove any obstruction or replace the tube if necessary. Finally, make sure the spray wand is in the low-pressure position.

The pump might be sucking air; check that hoses and fittings are airtight, then turn off the machine and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. A clogged water inlet filter can also cause this issue; remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. Additionally, the discharge nozzle could be obstructed; blow it out or remove debris with a fine needle. Lastly, the gun, hose, or spray wand could be calcified; run distilled vinegar through the detergent suction tube.
