Why is the output pressure of my Kärcher K 6.55 M Pressure Washer varying high and low?
    • W
      whitejohnAug 15, 2025
Inconsistent output pressure in your Kärcher Pressure Washer can stem from several causes. Ensure you have enough inlet water supply by turning the water on full force and inspecting the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages. Check that hoses and fittings are airtight, and purge the pump by turning off the machine and squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. Also, the water inlet filter may be clogged; remove it and rinse it in warm water. An obstructed discharge nozzle can also cause this issue; blow out or remove debris with a fine needle. Lastly, if the gun, hose, or power nozzle is calcified, run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank.

Why won't my Kärcher Pressure Washer motor start?
    • C
      Christopher GibbsAug 18, 2025
The motor may not start because the On/Off switch is in the “OFF” (O) position. Turn the switch to the “ON” (I) position. Also, check if the power cord is properly plugged in. Another reason could be that the extension cord is either too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged. Replace the extension cord with either a 25 ft. 12/2 gauge cord or a 50 ft. 10/2 gauge cord. Finally, the electrical outlet might not be supplying adequate power; try a different outlet.

What to do if my Kärcher K 6.55 M Pressure Washer doesn't reach high pressure?
    • A
      Andrea BrownAug 21, 2025
If your pressure washer isn't reaching high pressure, first check that the diameter of your garden hose is adequate; replace it with a 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch garden hose if it's too small. Next, ensure that the water supply isn't restricted by checking the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. Make sure there's enough inlet water supply by opening the water source fully. Also, inspect the water inlet filter for clogs and rinse it out in warm water if needed. Finally, verify that the power nozzle is in the high-pressure position.

What to do if there is no detergent coming out of my Kärcher Pressure Washer?
    • C
      Calvin GentryAug 26, 2025
If your Kärcher Pressure Washer isn't dispensing detergent, the detergent might be too thick; try diluting it. Check the filter on the detergent suction tube for clogs and run warm water through it to remove any debris. Also, inspect the detergent suction tube for damage or clogs; remove any obstructions or replace the tube if necessary. Ensure the Variopower nozzle is not in the high-pressure position; turn the nozzle tip to the low-pressure position. Finally, check the discharge nozzle for obstructions and blow out or remove debris with a fine needle.
