Usage Features
The Kärcher K 6.91 M offers several features to enhance its usability and effectiveness:
- Startup:
- Screw the HP hose onto the HP outlet on the appliance.
- Push the appropriate spray lance onto the handgun and fasten it by turning it through 90°.
- Open the tap.
- Plug in the mains plug.
- Set the main switch to "I/ON".
- Press the safety catch on the handgun to release it and pull the lever.
- High-pressure operation:
- The handgun is subject to a recoil force when the water jet is discharged. Users must ensure a firm footing and hold the handgun and spray lance firmly.
- The spray lance with Vario Power nozzle allows for carrying out the most common cleaning tasks by adjusting pressure (Min - Max).
- The spray lance with dirt blaster is used for strong contaminations.
- Operation with detergent:
- Detergent can only be added when the appliance is operating in low-pressure mode.
- All washing brushes supplied by Kärcher are designed for use with detergents.
- To use detergent, turn the Vario Power nozzle until the lowest pressure setting has been reached (Mix).
- Fill the detergent reservoir with detergent tablet and water or liquid detergent.
- The DT metering regulator allows for adjusting the detergent flow rate.
- Water supply:
- The device can be connected to a mains water supply using a fibre-reinforced hose (not included) with a standard coupling (minimum diameter 1/2 inch, 13 mm, minimum length 7.5 m).
- For water supply from open reservoirs, the Kärcher water filter must be used to protect the HP pump and accessories. The standard coupling system is not suitable for suction mode; the Kärcher suction hose with integrated filter should be used instead.
- The appliance deaerates faster if the suction hose is first filled with water.
- Safety features:
- The power switch prevents unintended starting of the appliance.
- The safety catch on the handgun prevents the appliance from being switched on unintentionally.
- The appliance is equipped with a safety device that protects the user and prevents unauthorized modifications.
- The minimum fuse rating required at the socket outlet is 13 A (slow-blow).
