ADJUSTMENT
Youmay feel that yournew oven
cooksdifferently thantheoven it
replaced.Werecommendthatyou
useyournew ovena few weeksto
become morefamiliar withit,following
thetimesgiveninyourrecipes as e
guide.
Ifyouthinkyour newoven istoo hot
(burningfoods) or nothotenough
(foodsare undercooked),you can
adjustthetemperatureyourself.The
appearance end textureoffoods is a
better indicator of ovenaccuracythan
anoven thermometer,These
thermometerscan varyby 20-40
degreesfrom the truetemperatureof
theoven.In addition,theoven door
mustbe openedto read these
thermometers.Openingthedoorwill
changethetemperatureofthe oven.
To decidehowmuchto change
thetemperature,setthe oven
temperature25 degreeshigher
(iffoods are undercooked)or
25 degrees lower (if foods are
burning) thanthetemperatureinyour
recipe, thenbake. The resultsof this
"test" shouldgiveyouan idea of how
muchthe temperatureshouldbe
changed.
1. Pressand hold, at the same
tim, the HOUR UP and DOWN
arrowpads untilthe display
showsa two-digitnumber.
2. Pressthe HOUR UP arrow pad to
increasethetemperature up to
+35°F hotte_
or
Pressthe HOUR DOWN arrow
pad to decrease the temperature
downto-35°F cooler,
3. When this adjustment has been
made, the displaywill returnto the
time of da_
ThisadjustmentwLIIremaininmemory
untilthesestepsarerepeated and a
newtemperatureisselected.It will
remainin memory even after e power
failure.
Thisadjustment willnot affect the Broil
or Cleantemperatures.
