Function Description:
The Kenmore Liquid Propane Gas Grill is an outdoor cooking appliance designed for residential use. It operates on LP (propane) gas and is intended for grilling food. The grill features multiple burners, a lid with a temperature gauge, side shelves, and a drip tray system for grease management. It supports both direct and indirect cooking methods.
Important Technical Specifications:

- Side Shelves: Folding side shelves provide additional workspace and storage. They can be raised and lowered.
Maintenance Features:
- General Cleaning:
- Clean the grill often, preferably after each cookout.
- Interiors of gas grills are not painted and should be cleaned with a strong solution of detergent and water or a grill cleaner and scrub brush.
- Porcelain surfaces can be cleaned with baking soda/water solution or a specially formulated cleaner.
- Painted surfaces should be washed with mild detergent or nonabrasive cleaner and warm soapy water.
- Stainless steel surfaces should be washed with mild detergent and warm soapy water, then wiped dry with a soft cloth. Abrasive plastic cleaning pads can be used for baked-on grease, but only in the direction of the brushed finish.
- Cooking surfaces should be cleaned with a bristle brush, ensuring no loose bristles remain.
- Drip tray and drip cup should be removed and cleaned after the grill has completely cooled.
- Burner Assembly Cleaning:
- Instructions are provided for removing and cleaning the burner assembly, including the venturi tubes, to prevent "flashback" problems caused by spiders or insects obstructing gas flow.
- Three methods for cleaning burner tubes are suggested: using a stiff wire hook, a narrow bottle brush, or an air hose.
- Regularly check burners for damage, enlarged holes, cracks, or holes.
- Hose Check: Before each use, check the hose for cuts or wear and replace if damaged.
- Valve Check: Regularly check control knobs for proper spring-back and smooth turning.
- Igniter Check: Periodically check the electronic igniter for clicking sounds and sparks.
- Storage:
- Clean cooking grates before storage.
- Store in a dry location.
- If the LP tank is connected, store outdoors in a well-ventilated space, out of reach of children.
- Cover the grill if stored outdoors.
- Store the grill indoors ONLY if the LP tank is turned off and disconnected, removed from the grill, and stored outdoors.
- Clean the burner assembly after removing the grill from storage.
