  If your Kenmore Grill is only reaching 250-300 degrees, this often happens when the control knobs are turned on before the LP tank valve. This activates the gas regulator safety device. To fix this: * Open the grill lid. * Turn off all knobs on the control panel. * Turn off the tank knob. * Disconnect the regulator from the LP tank and wait 30 seconds. * Reconnect the regulator to the LP tank. * Slowly open the LP tank knob all the way (without excessive force). * Turn on the appropriate control knob and light the grill per the lighting instructions.

If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP tank valve, disconnect and reconnect the regulator, perform a leak-test, then turn on the LP tank valve, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. Lastly, a vapor lock could be the cause: turn off the knobs and the LP tank valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the tank, reconnect it, and retry.
