Why does my Kennedy EF-WM503 heater shut off automatically?

The Kennedy Indoor Fireplace heater might shut off automatically because the room is too warm; it will turn off once the pre-set temperature is reached and will turn on automatically if the room temperature drops below the pre-set temperature. It can also happen if it is not secured properly to the appliance touch panel; after 10 to reset it.
