Overview

The Keurig B200 Mid-Size Office Brewer is a versatile coffee brewing system designed for office environments, offering both pour-over and direct water line (plumbed) operation modes. It is capable of brewing coffee quickly and efficiently, providing continuous back-to-back brews.

Function Description:

The Keurig B200 is primarily a single-serve coffee brewer that uses K-Cups. It is designed to provide hot beverages on demand in an office setting. The brewer features a digital user interface for easy operation and configuration. It can operate in two distinct modes:

  • Pour Over Mode: In this mode, the user manually fills a cold water reservoir. The brewer then draws water from this reservoir for brewing.
  • Plumbed Mode (Direct Water Line): This mode allows the brewer to be connected directly to an existing water line or a bottled water supply with an in-line filter. This provides an unlimited supply of water, enabling continuous brewing without manual refills.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 16 inches high x 10.25 inches wide x 18 inches deep.
  • Weight: 24 pounds (empty).
  • Water Tank Capacity (Pour Over Mode): 64 ounces.
  • Brew Temperature Range: Adjustable from 187°F to 192°F.
  • Brew Speed: Capable of continuous back-to-back brews every 60 seconds.
  • Power: cULus Commercial rated.
  • Water Plumbing Inlet: Designed to accept a 3/4" garden hose fitting for plumbed-in mode.

Usage Features:

  • Digital User Interface: The brewer is equipped with a digital display that shows various information and allows for menu navigation.
  • Brew Buttons: Two brew buttons are available, serving as cup size selections for end users: 8oz (top button) and 6oz (bottom button). These buttons also allow for toggling and selecting LCD menu options when the menu button at the back of the brewer is activated.
  • Fill Door: Provides easy pouring access to fill the cold water tank in pour-over mode. The brewer beeps and the water level indicator illuminates completely when the tank is full.
  • LED Water Tank Level Indicator: In pour-over mode, this indicator shows the cold water tank level. In plumbed mode, it will always show "full."
  • Removable Filter Screen: The cold water reservoir in pour-over mode includes a removable filter screen for water quality.
  • Quick Start Guide: The device comes with a quick start guide for initialization, priming, and first brew, which typically takes 3-4 minutes. Users are instructed to run a couple of purge brews before the first K-Cup brew.
  • LCD Messaging Options: The brewer allows for quick programming of basic LCD user messages. Within 10 seconds of powering on after priming, pressing the "menu" button in the rear access panel activates menu choices on the LCD screen. The two brew buttons are used to toggle through menu choices and select options (top button to change selections, bottom button to toggle through menu choices).
    • Menu Items Include:
      • Mode (set by switch): Displays current mode (Pour Over or Plumbed). Cannot be changed via menu.
      • Number of Brews: Shows the total number of brews completed. Cannot be reset.
      • Was Brewer Drained?: For start-up, allows the user to enter the "priming" process after a full drain of the hot water tank.
      • Set Language: Allows selection of display language (English, French, Spanish).
      • Vend: Option to enable/disable vend mode.
      • Vend Amount: Configurable vend price from $0.05 up to $2.95.

      • Service Phone Number: Allows entry of a company phone number, which appears on the display if problems occur with the brewer.
  • Selector Switch: A physical switch located behind the panel access door determines the operation mode (Pour Over or Plumbed). Right position for Pour Over, left position for Plumbed-in.

Maintenance Features:

  • Panel Access Door: A removable door on the back of the brewer provides access to the menu button, switches, and breaker for maintenance and configuration.
  • Filter Mounting Screws: Located on the back of the unit, these screws facilitate easy attachment of an external water filter when operating in plumbed mode.
  • Water Tank Drain Tubes: The brewer includes two drain tubes: a red tube for draining the hot water tank and a blue tube for draining the cold water tank, simplifying maintenance and cleaning.
