The Key Automation Recalone is a series of radio receivers designed for integration with control units, offering robust functionality for automated systems. These receivers are available in several models: RX4X, RX4S, RXI23X, and RXM23X, each tailored for specific connection types and applications.
Function Description:
The primary function of the Recalone radio receiver is to receive signals from compatible remote controls and translate them into commands for an automated system. This allows for wireless control of various functions, such as opening and closing gates, doors, or other automated mechanisms. The receivers support both fixed and variable code transmitters, providing flexibility and enhanced security.
The RX4X and RX4S models are plug-in receivers designed for control units with an SSQ connector, offering four outputs. The RXI23X is also a plug-in receiver but features a Molex connector and two outputs. The RXM23X is an external receiver with two outputs and an external terminal board, making it suitable for broader integration. The RX4X, RX4S, and RXM23X models can be managed via software using the XRMANAGER device with firmware versions 2.3 and later, enabling advanced configuration and diagnostics.

Usage Features:
The Recalone receivers offer several user-friendly features for programming and management:
- Memorising a Remote Control: The process involves pressing the receiver button a number of times corresponding to the desired output (1 to 4, or PRESET for output 1-4), waiting for the LED to flash, and then pressing the key on the remote control to be memorised. A long flash confirms successful memorisation. Multiple remote controls can be memorised to the same output.
- Deleting a Remote Control: To delete a remote control, the user presses and holds the receiver button until the LED lights up, then presses and holds the remote control key until the LED goes out. A subsequent press of the receiver button confirms the deletion.
- Clearing the Entire Receiver Memory/Receiver Reset: This feature allows for a complete reset of the receiver. By pressing and holding the receiver button until the LED lights up and then goes out, the user can initiate the reset. The LED will then flash, and pressing the receiver button on the third flash clears the entire memory, while pressing it on the fifth flash resets the 4 outputs and restores default monostable settings.
- Remote Memorisation of a Remote Control with an Already Memorised Remote Control: This advanced feature allows a new remote control to be memorised without direct access to the receiver. The user needs an already memorised transmitter. The procedure involves pressing the new remote control key, then the old remote control key, and repeating this sequence to confirm. This must be done within the reception range of the receiver.
- Encoding Type Indication: Upon power-up, the receiver flashes to indicate the type of encoding used by the remote controls in its memory: one long flash for an empty memory, two quick flashes for fixed code, and three quick flashes for variable code.
Maintenance Features:
While the manual primarily focuses on installation and programming, some aspects relate to maintenance and preliminary checks:
- Preliminary Checks: Before installation, it is crucial to ensure the mounting surface is solid and free from vibrations. Electrical connections must be suitable for the required currents, and the power supply must conform to the technical specifications.
- Antenna Installation: For optimal range, a type ANTS433 antenna should be connected. Without an antenna, the range is significantly reduced. The antenna must be installed as high as possible, away from metal or reinforced concrete structures. The antenna cable should be type RG58 and no longer than 10 meters. If an antenna cannot be fitted, connecting a straight electric cable can improve the range.
- Testing and Commissioning: After installation, the system must be tested and commissioned by a qualified technician. This ensures compliance with relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements, verifying that the installation functions correctly and safely.
The Recalone series is designed for reliability and ease of use, providing a versatile solution for various automation needs. Adherence to the provided instructions is critical for safe and effective operation.
