Product Warranty
The standard warranty period for the 34401A Multimeter is one-year. All references to a three-year warranty
within the product manuals must be changed to one year.
Chapter 3: Page 76 - The Wait-for-Trigger State
Add the word “external” to the second sentence in the boxed note at the end of The Wait-for-Trigger State
section as follows: Any external triggers that occur during this set-up time are ignored.
Chapter 3: Page 100 - To Replace the Power-Line Fuse
Delete the last sentence “To replace a 125 mAT fuse, order Agilent part number 2110-0894.”

The multimeter received a READ? or MEASure? command while in the local mode. During RS-232 operation,
you should always execute the SYSTem:REMote command before sending other commands over the interface.
