USER ACTION KIA BLUETOOTH® SYSTEM RESPONSE
1. At Phonebook menu, say
“add entry”
“Add entry; would you like to add the entry by
voice or by phone?”
2.
Say “by voice” “By voice; Please say a name for the entry”
3. Say the contact’s name “(Repeats the name); Say yes to proceed,
otherwise say back or cancel.”
4. Say “yes” “Now say a number for (name of contact)”
5. Say a phone number
as continuous string of
numbers without pause*
“(Repeats the number); add numbers. Say
store, correction, or delete”
6. Say “store” “Now select a phone type; say home, mobile,
work, other, or default”
7. Say “home” (“work”,
“mobile”, “other” or
“default” as applicable)
“(Name at home); say yes to proceed,
otherwise say back or cancel.”
8. Say “yes” (if you have
more numbers for this
contact) or say “cancel” to
complete entry
“Entry stored. Would you like to add another
phone type? Say yes or cancel.”
Notes:
- If you pause while entering a number, the system will read back the currently
detected numbers and then prompt you to confirm, change, or add
additional numbers
- Phonebook entries are made to the vehicle only (they do not transfer to the
phone handset)

VEHICLE BY VOICE

FOR ALL VEHICLE PHONEBOOK FUNCTIONS:
1. Press TALK
• Radio displays “listening” and emits prompt tone
2. Say “Phonebook”
• Replies with Phonebook options:
- Add entry
- Change name
- Delete name
For entries by phone keypad, users may experience
inconsistent results due to variability between phone
manufacturers and service providers.
•
Therefore, it is recommended that if you prefer to use
your keypad for new entries, simply enter the new number
and name directly into your phone’s handset contact list.
The new contact will then be available for voice dialing
(from your phone’s handset index) the next time you start
the vehicle
