Identify and select the appropriate mounting flange matching the vehicle's factory tweeter.
Place a small amount of adhesive on the flange to aid in assembly during installation.
Route the KCS270 wires and motor through the flange, ensuring flange is over terminals first.
Fasten the speaker to the mounting location using factory hardware or supplied screws.
Prepare the speaker harness and use the mounting template for custom locations.
Apply adhesive to the bezel gap and carefully insert the grille.
Use the mounting adapter, remove any impeding tabs, and align the bolt pattern.
Fasten the adapter to the mounting panel, using foam damper if necessary for fitment.
Attach the back gasket/spacer if needed, then fasten the mid-bass woofer to the adapter.
Connect crossover terminals to the KSS270 mid-range tweeter receptacles.
Slide clear covers over terminals to prevent short circuits.
Connect crossover input to head unit or amplifier outputs using butt connectors.
Connect the crossover receptacles directly to the terminals on the mid-bass woofer.
