6. Using Your Alarm (non-digital version, 5CO)

Each week your alarm should be tested by pressing the test buon. The alarm will beep once
followed by a brief pause. Then the alarm will sound fully for 10 seconds (hold the alarm
away from your ears as it is very loud).
When it is in full alarm for 10 seconds the red LED will flash.
This confirms that the alarm is powered up and working.
Re-seng the Alarm
If the alarm sounds, the test / reset buon will silence the alarm unless it is sll detecng dan-
gerous levels of CO. The green light will then flash every 30 seconds to indicate that the alarm
has power.
