The electronic seed monitor system consists of (a) a console, which is mounted on the tractor; (b) seed tubes with
sensors, one of which is installed in each planter row unit; (c) a primary harness, which connects the console to the
planter harness; and (d) a planter harness (junction harness and/or extension harness where applicable), to which the
individual seed tube sensors connect.
The monitor is powered by the tractor battery (requires 12 volts DC).
Electronic seed monitor systems equipped with the optional distance sensor feature (requires KPM II console) use
either a radar distance sensor which is mounted on the tractor or a magnetic (pickup) distance sensor which is installed
on the planter drive.

NOTE: If the console is not installed in the tractor at the time of planter installation, the
console must be connected to a 12 volt power source before any of the planter components
can be plugged into the planter harness. See STEP 1 of Planter Components Installation
on page 8.
