If your KitchenAid Ice Maker won't run, several factors could be at play. First, check your circuit breaker and fuses to ensure there's power at the wall outlet. Also, inspect the auxiliary drain pump power outlet for any issues like a kinked drain hose, blocked screen, or obstructed vent. A disconnected selector switch or loose connections at the switch or control board can also be culprits; reconnect or repair these as needed. Verify the power cord's continuity and replace it if it's open. Lastly, if the room temperature is below 55°F (13°C), the bin thermistor might be shutting the unit off, or ice might be touching the thermistor, which is normal operation.
