What to do if the rotor stopped in my Klargester BIODISC BD?
    • Z
      Zachary WilliamsAug 15, 2025
If your Klargester Water System rotor has stopped, first check if the motor switch on the panel is in the “on” position and reset it if necessary. Then, check the fuse or trip at the supply board, replacing or resetting as needed. If the problem persists or you suspect a wiring fault, have the wiring to the control panel checked by a competent electrician. For issues like a broken drive chain, a faulty drive motor, or loose pulleys, it's best to contact Klargester directly.

What to do if effluent discharge from Klargester Water System is not to required standard?
    • D
      Danielle RobinsonAug 23, 2025
If the effluent discharge from your Klargester Water System does not meet the required standard, check that the bucket(s) are in place and discharging correctly into the biozone second stage. If you have an ND/NE/NF/NG model, and the sludge return pump is inoperative, contact Klargester.

What to do if Klargester BIODISC BD Water System rotor fails to restart?
    • B
      Brett HardyAug 29, 2025
If the rotor on your Klargester Water System fails to restart after a stoppage, it may be unbalanced. Try hosing off excess biomass from the heavier side of the rotor, keeping in mind that removing biomass reduces treatment.

Why does my Klargester BIODISC BD have a strong odor?
    • A
      Ashley MartinezNov 7, 2025
A strong odor from your Klargester Water System can stem from several causes. It may be due to excessive sludge and scum buildup, requiring you to desludge the unit. It could also be caused by grease accumulation; in this case, de-sludge the unit and, if needed, hose off the discs, while avoiding excessive use of fats and oils in the future. Chemicals in the system can also cause this problem; in most cases, the unit will recover naturally. Excessive laundry use can be another cause; try to spread out laundry operations and minimize the use of biological powders and detergents. Inadequate drain ventilation might be the culprit; ensure there's an open high-level vent at the head of the drains. If the unit is overloaded, contact Klargester to check its process capability. Finally, if the rot...
