5 Place a coffee cup on the drip grid.
6 Make sure that the steam knob is at position 0 and the button
is off to prevent
accidental scalding.
7 Press the button
to turn on the appliance.
8 Press the button
. The appliance will start pumping water from the water tank.
9 When water starts owing out of the outlet, re-press the button
to stop.
10 The appliance now begins to heat the water.
11 When the indicator WATER lights heating has nished.
12 Press the button
again to ll the cup.
13 Re-press the
button to turn off the appliance.
14 Pour the water from the cup into the sink.
15 Dry the vessel, drip grid and drip pan.
Now the appliance is ready to prepare Espresso!
Preparing Espresso
CAUTION: Do not leave the appliance unattended during use, as it requires
manual operation.
WARNING: To avoid burns, do not touch the metal parts of the appliance
with bare hands during operation. The metal parts of the appliance are hot
during operation. Always grip the metal parts by the handle, knob or lever.
1 Press the button
to turn off the appliance.
2 Remove the water tank from the appliance.
3 Fill it with water. The water level must not exceed the MAX mark.
4 Carefully reinsert the tank into the appliance.
5 Make sure that the steam knob is at position 0 and the button
is off to prevent
accidental scalding.
6 Press the button
to turn on the appliance.
7 Press the button
. The appliance pumps water from the tank through the lter.
8 As soon as water comes out of the coffee outlet, press the button
again to stop.
9 The appliance will now start to heat the water.
10 The WATER indicator lights up when the water is hot enough to make an espresso.
11 Place an empty espresso cup on the drip grid.
12 Press the button
again and wait a moment until the espresso is dispensed.
NOTE: While making an espresso or using the frother, the WATER and
STEAM indicators will temporarily turn off to indicate that the appliance is
heating to maintain the temperature.
