2 Remove the water tank.
3 Fill the water tank to maximum level with a mixture of water and a household
decalcier in the proportion that is mentioned in the instructions written on the label
of the decalcify. If you use citric acid instead of a decalcier, mix the water with
citric acid in the proportion of 100:3 (water:citric acid)
4 Replace the water tank.
5 Make sure that the steam knob is at position 0 and the button
is off to prevent
accidental scalding.
6 Place the metal funnel with the steel mesh in the metal funnel holder and place a
heat-resistant cup below the steam tube.
7 Press the button
to turn on the appliance.
8 Press the button
. The appliance will start pumping water from the tank through
the lter.
9 When the water starts owing out of the outlet, press the button
again to stop.
10 Wait until the indicator WATER lights.
11 Now press the button
to prepare a cup full of the descaling mixture.
12 Press the button
again to stop.
13 Empty the vessel into the sink. Do not drink this liquid or use it for any other purpose.
14 Wait for 5 seconds and press the button
.
15 Wait until the indicator STEAM lights.
16 Turn the steam knob slowly and counter-clockwise and produce steam for about
2minutes.
17 Turn the steam knob back to the position 0.
18 Press the button
to turn off the appliance.
19 Leave the decalcifyer-mixture in the appliance for at least 15 minutes.
Repeat the steps of 7-18 at least 3 times.
Rinsing
1 Press the button
to turn off the appliance.
2 Make sure that the steam knob is at position 0 and the button
is off to prevent
accidental scalding.
3 Check if the water tank needs to be lled. The water level must not exceed the MAX
mark. Rell the tank if necessary and place it into the appliance.
4 Place the metal funnel together with the steel mesh in the metal funnel holder and
place a heat-resistant cup below the steam tube.
5 Press the button
to turn on the appliance.
6 Press the button
. The appliance will start pumping water from the tank through
the lter.
7 When the water starts owing out of the outlet, press the button
again to stop.
8 Wait until the indicator WATER lights.
9 Press the button
and let the water run until the water tank is empty.
