CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the device from the wall outlet.
• Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
• Clean the device only with a damp cloth.
• You can wash the jug with warm water, a little washing-up liquid and a soft
brush. Do not clean the jug in the dishwasher.
Descale the machine
To ensure that your coee maker produces good coee for a long time, it should
be descaled from time to time. The frequency depends on how hard the water
is in your environment and how often you use the coee maker. If you use your
coee maker once or twice a day, you should descale the machine at the following
intervals:
• Soft water: every 6 months.
• Medium-hard water: every 2-3 months.
• Hard water: every 6-8 weeks.
If the time it takes to brew a pot of coee suddenly increases signicantly, we
strongly recommend that you descale the machine immediately. You can nd out
the water hardness in your region from your local water supplier.
To descale the machine, follow the instructions below:
1 Fill the water tank up to the MAX mark with a descaling solution.
2 Press the on/o switch to start the cycle.

Switch o the device after half of the descaler solution has run through.
Allow the solution to soak for approximately 10 minutes.

Continue the cycle by pressing the on/o switch again. Allow the
remaining descaler solution to run through.
5 Allow the unit to cool down for 5 minutes afterwards.

Repeat steps 1-5 with fresh water to remove any descaler residue from
the unit.
