HOW TO CUT CABLE
1. Toreleasethehandlelock,squeezetoolhandlestogetherandthenrotatethelockingtab(A)counterclockwiseuntilthehandlesare
freetoopen.
2. Pulldownthebladerelease(H)toreleasethemoveableblade(C)fromtheratchetingmechanism.(B)
3. Rotatemoveableblade(C)outfromratchetingmechanism.(B)
4. Placecabletobecutagainstthexedblade(F),androtatethemovableblade(C)untilitisagainstthecable.
5. Squeezethehandlerepeatedlyuntilcableiscut.
6. Toreleasecablebeforethecutiscomplete,pulldownbladerelease(H),rotatemoveableblade(C)
awayfromtheratchetingmechanism(B)andremovethecable.
Tip – In order to relieve some of the tension on the ratcheting mechanism, slightly squeeze the handles together.
NOTE:Whencuttingcable,thebladesshouldbeperpendiculartotheconductortoavoidunnecessary“sideload”totheblades.
TORQUE VALUE AND FEELER GAUGE FOR FASTENER (D)
Toinsureeaseofoperationandpropercuttingafterreplacingthemoveableblade(C):
1. Placea.002–.004"(.05–.10mm)feelergaugebetweenthebladesatthepivotpoint.
2. Fingertightentheinnernutwiththefeelergaugeinplace.Backoffslightlyifneededtoremovethefeelergauge.
3. Holdingtheinnernutwithawrench,torquetheouternutto33–37ft.lbs.(45-50Nm).
HOW TO REPLACE THE CUTTING INSERTS

1. Pulldownthebladerelease(H)toreleasethebladesfromtheratchetingmechanism.(B)
2. Pullmoveableblade(C)outfromratchetingmechanism.(B)
3. Locatethe(3)hexscrews(E)thatholdthecuttinginsertstoeitherthexedblade(F)ormoveableblade.(C)
4. Usinga2.5mmhexwrench(notincluded),loosenthe(3)hexscrewsinacounter-clockwisedirectionandremovescrews.
5. Installnewcuttinginsert(G)andreplacewiththe(3)hexscrews(E)
6. Installandtightenthe(3)hexscrews(E)inaclockwisedirection.
7. Rotatethemoveableblade(C)towardtheratchetingmechanism(B)toclosethetoolandensurethatthebladesdonotbind.
