Cleaning
WARNING
• Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove the battery pack. For safe and
proper operation, always keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.
• Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean your polisher; never use detergent or alcohol.
Replace the base plate
To remove the base plate:
Position the tool upside down, use the open-
end wrench (G) to clamp the shaft connected to
the base plate (F), and unscrew the base plate
counterclockwise to remove it;
To install the base plate:
Position the tool upside down, use the open-end
wrench to clamp the shaft connected to the base
plate, turn the base plate clockwise to install it and
tighten securely.
NOTE: Use correct size accessories. To reduce
the risk of injury, use only accessories rated at least equal to the maximum speed marked
on the tool. Kobalt #KPOBP 124-03 base plate, #KPOPP 3ASST-03 polishing pads are
recommended.
