If your Kohler Engine starts but doesn't keep running, the issue might stem from several causes: * A faulty carburetor or cylinder head gasket could be the reason. Repair or replace these components as needed. * Check for a fuel pump malfunction, including clogged or leaking vacuum hoses, and address any issues. * Inspect the quality of the fuel, replacing it if it's dirty, stale, or contaminated with water. * Also, ensure that the fuel tank cap vent isn't restricted. * Faulty or misadjusted choke or throttle controls can cause this problem; adjust or repair them. * Finally, look for intake system leaks and repair them, and secure any loose wires or connections that might be grounding the ignition kill circuit intermittently.
