2. Allow ample time for the oil to drain from the
crankcase and oil lter.
3. Remove and discard the oil lter. See Figure 8-4.

Filter
1. Remove the oil ll cap, dipstick, and one of the
oil drain plugs. See Figures 8-2 and 8-3.
NOTE: Some models are equipped with an oil drain
valve.

Remove Oil Cooler
1. Use an 8 mm Allen wrench to remove the oil lter
threaded nipple. See Figure 8-5.

2. Separate the lter adapter from the closure plate,
leaving the oil lines a ached. Remove the two
hex ange screws mounting the oil cooler to the
blower housing, then remove the cooler, lines,
and lter adapter as an assembly. See Figure 8-6.
