GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Koldwave Airmaster is a portable, air-cooled air

conditioner/zone cooler suitable for indoor/outdoor use.

The Koldwave Airmaster can cool an entire area by

discharging air through its 16" x 12.5" grille. This self-

contained unit is also designed to direct cool air to

specific areas or objects through (optional) dual 6"

diameter snozzles

, or a single 10" diameter flexible

duct. This provides precision cooling for heat-sensitive

equipment, production processes and personnel.

The cord-connected Koldwave Airmaster is provided

with heavy-duty casters. The swivel-locking front

casters prevent sliding and stationary rear casters

provide handling ease for conventional relocation. This

unit is completely self-contained with the entire

refrigeration system, electrical components, condenser

and evaporator housed in one attractively-designed,

two-tone enamel finish metal cabinet.

The Koldwave Airmaster is a portable, air-cooled air conditioner/zone cooler designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It can cool an entire area by discharging air through its 16" x 12.5" grille, or it can direct cool air to specific areas or objects through optional dual 6" diameter snozzles® or a single 10" diameter flexible duct. This allows for precision cooling of heat-sensitive equipment, production processes, and personnel. The unit is self-contained, with the refrigeration system, electrical components, condenser, and evaporator housed in an attractively designed, two-tone enamel finish metal cabinet. It is equipped with heavy-duty casters, including swivel-locking front casters and stationary rear casters, for easy relocation.

Usage Features:

Control Panel: Features an on-off switch, thermostat, and indicator lights.
Mode Selector Rocker Switch: Offers three functions: fan mode only (depressed left), unit off (center), and cooling mode (depressed right).
Fan Speed Rotary Switch: Three-position switch for high, medium, and low evaporator blower fan speeds.
Thermostat: Maintains desired cooling with a range of 60-95°F and a differential of ±3°F. The sensing bulb is in the return air stream behind the slotted return air intake door and filter.
Indicator Lights:
- Green "Power-On" light: Indicates power to the control panel when in fan or cooling mode.
- Blue "Cool" light: Indicates cooling mode operation (compressor, condenser, and evaporator blowers running).
- Red "Tank Full" warning light: Indicates the condensate tank is full and needs emptying.
Condenser Discharge Flexibility: The unit can be easily converted from top (standard) to rear condenser discharge by interchanging the top panel with the upper back panel and removing side panels.
Air Discharge Grille: A 16" x 12.5" plastic grille provides cool and quiet airflow. Four-way adjustable grilles control air discharge for even, comfortable cooling.
Service Cord: A six-foot service cord fits a 20A-230 volt NEMA 6-20 receptacle. An extension cord rated at least 10 amps @ 250 volts with grounding-type attachment plug and connector can be used.
Condensate Removal:
- Standard: A 5.0-gallon polyethylene condensate drain tank with a water level detection system. An adjustment screw allows setting the water level from 1 to 4 gallons before the unit shuts off. A cap is chained to the tank top to prevent spillage.
- Optional: Condensate pump kit (SA 057-D-0048) with a 20' long hose, capable of pumping against an 11-foot head.
- Gravity Draining: A hose can be connected to the evaporator drain pan and routed through a 3/4" hole in the base pan.
Accessories:
- Flexible Duct Kit: Optional 12" diameter flexible duct kit (SA 040-D-0035) extends up to 10 feet to vent condenser air or draw return air from the ceiling. Includes a 2' x 2' lay-in ceiling/panel collar assembly.
- Condenser Return Air Plenum: Optional 48" x 16 1/2" x 21 3/8" plenum (SA076-D-2411) for drawing condenser return air from the ceiling.
- Discharge Air Snozzle® Kit: Optional dual 6" diameter snozzles® (SA 040-D-0034) for directing cool air to specific areas. Derates capacity by approximately 2.5%.
- 10" Diameter Evaporator Discharge Kit: Optional single 10" diameter, 10' long wire-reinforced flexible air duct (SA 040-D-0037) for remote spot cooling. Derates capacity by approximately 1.0%.
- Duct Clamps: 6", 10", and 12" diameter twin wire duct clamps for securing flexible ducts to various accessory items.

Maintenance Features:

Serviceability: Removable panels provide full service accessibility, dividing the interior into upper front, lower front, and rear sections.
Air Filters: Three 1/2" thick, washable, aluminum mesh (black) air filters. The evaporator filter is behind the slotted front intake door, and condenser filters are beneath the left side panel.
Compressor Overload & Thermostat: Scroll compressor with current/thermal internal overload and a discharge thermostat (290/140°F cut-out/cut-in) for positive protection.
High Pressure Cut-Out: Manual reset high pressure switch (375 ±10 psig cut-out) for maximum compressor protection. The reset button is located in the lower front section of the unit.
Freeze Control: Automatic reset freeze control in the electrical box turns the unit off at low ambients to defrost the evaporator coil for approximately five minutes.
Condenser Fan Speed Control: Automatic fan speed control (or SPDT toggle switch) changes condenser fan speed from high to low at low ambients.
