Setting the tempo via tap tempo
You can set the tempo by tapping it out.
1.
While the metronome is on, press the button
several times at regular intervals.
e metronome detects the BPM according to the
interval at which you press the button, and sets the
tempo accordingly. Also, the display indicates the
tempo as a number.
While the tempo is being detected,
four curved lines appear on the display
around the
icon to the le of the
tempo value.
• When the detected BPM is less than 30, “Lo” appears
on the display, and the tempo is set to “30”.
• When the detected BPM exceeds 252, “Hi” appears on
the display, and the tempo is set to “252”.

Press the button to start the metronome.
e metronome pendulum swings from le to right
in time with the tempo, and the
button blinks with
the tempo.
You can also input the tap tempo while using the
metronome.

To stop the metronome, press the button.
Using the tuner and metronome at
the same time
e TM-70T/TM-70C lets you use the tuner and metro-
nome simultaneously.
Press the
and buttons respectively to
turn the tuner and metronome on. e meter on the
display is shown in two levels as shown below.

When using the tuner and metronome simultane-
ously, you can’t select
(quadruplet without the
center beats),
(quadruplet), (triplets without
the center beat) or
(triplets) as the beat.
