Toilet Flapper Installation Guide

Step 1: Mark Water Level

Flush the toilet and mark the water level with a pencil when the original flapper closes.

Step 2: Install New Flapper

Remove the old flapper and install the new one with minimal chain slack.

Step 3: Let Tank Fill

Allow the toilet tank to fill completely after installing the new flapper.

Step 4: Check Water Level Drop

Turn off water, flush, and check if the water level drops within 1/2" of the pencil mark.

Step 6: Adjust Band

Rotate the hole in the band to the open position for adjustment.

Step 7: Fine-Tune Dial Adjustment

Rotate the dial to align the next lowest number with the arrow for optimal water level.

Maximum Water Savings Tip

Adjust to the lowest possible setting while still clearing the bowl for maximum water savings.
