Operating instructions
Assembling the depth scale
WARNING:
Always remove the plug from the power source before
installing.
WARNING:
Burn hazard. Avoid body contact with metal parts of the
cutter.
Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using
the tool. Broken parts will aect the tool’s operation.
Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately.
Fire hazard. Do not leave tool unattended.
Wear a NIOSH compiant breathing mask while operating.

4. Functional description
and specications
WARNING:
If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, it has
to be done by a professional to avoid a safety hazard.
Intended use
The polystyrene hot cutter quickly heats to 450° C
to create fast, clean cuts in foam, plastic, webbing,
synthetic fabrics, and nylon rope. The hot cutter
comes with a depth adjusting sled to make repeat
cuts or long cuts at a precise depth.

Place the depth bracket 8 over the blade 5
and the protruding bolts (Fig 1).
Secure the depth bracket with the two acorn
nuts 3.
Loosen the two scale screws 7.
Adjust the depth scale to the desired cutting
depth and tighten the two scale screws.
Connect to the power and turn the
temperature knob 2 to the desired
temperature. The temperature adjustment has
5 levels: 100° C, 150° C, 270° C, 380° C, 450° C.
Press and hold the trigger 4 to heat up the
blade 5. The blade will reach the operating
temperature in about one minute and will
remain at the temperature selected (Fig 2).
When the blade has reached the pre-set
temperature, you may use the sharp edge
of the blade for line cutting or use the side of
the blade for wide groove cutting.
When the trigger is released, power to the
blade is cut o and the blade will cool down
gradually.
