Why does my KTM 50 SX 2022 Motorcycle engine have too little power?
    • J
      James FrederickJul 28, 2025
Several factors can cause a KTM Motorcycle engine to have too little power. A fuel supply interruption could be the issue; check the fuel tank breather and clean the fuel tap. A very dirty air filter can also restrict power, so clean the air filter and air filter box. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks or deformation, and consider changing the glass fiber yarn filling of the main silencer. A defective ignition system can also cause power loss; check the ignition coil and spark plug connector. Additionally, a damaged diaphragm or reed valve housing, noticeable wear, or an incorrect clutch engagement speed can contribute to the problem. Check the diaphragm and reed valve housing, overhaul the engine if there is noticeable wear, and check the clutch setting.

      Paula JohnsonAug 1, 2025
If your KTM Motorcycle engine overheats, there are several things to check. First, ensure there is enough coolant in the cooling system and check for any leaks. If the motorcycle is standing, switch off the engine to allow for better air stream. Clean the radiator fins if they are very dirty. If there's foam formation in the cooling system, drain and refill the coolant. Also, inspect the cylinder head and cylinder head gasket for damage.
