A weak battery can also hinder starting; clean the battery cables and terminals, charge the battery, and in cold weather, store the battery indoors when not in use. Lastly, inspect the preheat (glow plug) and intake air heater systems, checking for blown slow blow fuses and proper function in cold weather.
