How to troubleshoot a Kubota M62TL that is hard to start?
- JJanice BurnsAug 9, 2025
If your Kubota Tractor is difficult to start, several factors could be at play. It might be due to no fuel flow, so check the fuel tank and fuel filter, replacing the filter if needed. Another cause could be air or water in the fuel system; ensure the fuel line coupler bolt and nut are tight and bleed the fuel system. In cold weather, the oil viscosity might increase, slowing the engine revolution; use oils of different viscosities suitable for the ambient temperatures or consider using an engine block heater (optional). Lastly, a weak battery can prevent the engine from turning over quickly enough. Clean the battery cables and terminals, charge the battery, and in cold weather, remove the battery, charge it, and store it indoors, installing it only when you're ready to use the tractor.
