How to fix incorrect application rates (lbs/acre) with Kubota Spreader?
    • R
      Rachel BakerAug 10, 2025
Incorrect application rates with the Kubota Spreader can stem from several causes. Ensure the dosing setting is correct per the instructions and verified with a calibration test. For fine applications, confirm the dosing setting is accurate. Adjust driving speed if it's too high or low, and always set driving tracks before spreading. Remember to determine the characteristics of the fertilizer and set the spreader accordingly, especially when using a new type. If fertilizer flow is blocked, clean the machine after each use and replace a worn agitator. For average quality fertilizer, contact your supplier, improve the storage area, and spread with smaller widths if possible.

What to do if there are great amounts of dust while spreading with Kubota Spreader?
    • J
      Jeffrey ShafferAug 18, 2025
Excessive dust during spreading with the Kubota Spreader can be due to a few reasons. First, check the PTO shaft RPM to ensure it's not too high. Also, ensure the PTO shaft is switched off after closing the dosing to prevent the stirrer from grinding, and inspect the stirrer for any damage. If you're using average quality fertilizer, determine its distribution and spread with smaller working widths if possible.

Why are there powerful vibrations perceptible in my Kubota Spreader?
    • M
      Melissa TorresAug 26, 2025
Powerful vibrations in the Kubota Spreader can be caused by a stoppage due to a hard object, bridge formation due to wet fertilizer, or the PTO shaft working angle being out of reach. Remove any hard objects causing the stoppage. Break up any bridge formation or replace the fertilizer. Limit the PTO shaft working angle to a maximum of 30º. Shut down the PTO shaft immediately!

Why are there spreading tracks visible among the crops with my Kubota Spreader?
    • R
      Richard ElliottNov 2, 2025
Spreading tracks among crops when using the Kubota Spreader can occur for several reasons: * Using a blend of fertilizer types that have become unmixed or contain varying spreading qualities. * Using a new type of fertilizer with the same settings as the previous type. * Using the wrong spreading chart. * Working in unfavorable weather conditions like high humidity, rain, heat, or high wind speeds. * Incorrect overlapping of the spreading pattern. * Horizontal or vertical settings of the machine are incorrect. * Spreader not set to the correct height. * Incorrect working width. * Worn or incomplete spreading spout. * Uneven tire pressure. * Reduced RPM of the spreading mechanism due to loss at the safety clutch. To resolve this, check the fertilizer type, pattern, a...
