Battery information
Initial Startup
The devices are powered with 9 V batteries (not included in delivery; excep-
tion: KE702 D170D).
Before inserting batteries, disconnect all test leads and
turn off the device. Only use batteries according to the
specication.
The battery compartments are on the backside of the devices. Open the bat-
tery compartments (Phillips screwdriver PH2 required), insert the batteries,
and close the battery compartments again.
Operation

CONT = continuity and resistance testing

Inaddition,youcanndandtestberopticcables(FO)(ET800only)
Warning:
Where technically possible, work must be carried out in
the absence of voltage!
Do not work at > 90 V DC!
In case of electrical cables/lines as part of a electrical
installation/system work must always be carried out
free of voltage!
ET: The devices must be switches on before it is con-
nected to cable/lines. Otherwise dangerous error states
will not be detected immediately!
