What to do if my LaCie Little Disk Storage drive is not recognized?

If your LaCie Storage drive is not recognized by your computer, ensure an icon for the drive is present on the desktop. If it's missing, check both ends of the USB cable, making sure they are fully connected. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cables after 10 seconds. Restart your computer if the drive remains unrecognized. If the LED on the drive's front isn't lit, it might not be getting enough power. In such case, try connecting the USB power sharing cable. You can also open Apple System Profiler, expand the Hardware list, and click on USB. If your device is not listed, recheck the cables and try the other troubleshooting tips.
