SimNewB Important Information

Patient Simulator Power - Battery
Warnings
Use only power supply that comes with the
product.
Do not charge the simulator when it is
placed on a heating mattress and/or under
a heater.
Do not charge the simulator when it is
covered in blankets.
Do not use the battery in temperatures
above what is specified in this Important
Product Information.
Do not heat or incinerate. Do not crush the
battery.
Do not short circuit the battery contact.
Do not immerse in water.
Notes
In case of high battery temperature during
simultaneous operation and charging,
the charging would pause automatically
to protect the battery. Charging will
automatically resume when the battery
temperature has decreased.
The Patient Simulator contains electronic
components. All components, including the
battery must be recycled and disposed of
in compliance with applicable laws and
regulations.

Patient Simulator - External Power
Warning
Only connect the Patient Simulator to a Laerdal
approved external power supply dedicated to
use on SimNewB.
CPU Module (component of simulator)
Cautions
The device for operation in the band 5150-
5250 MHz is only for indoor use to reduce
the potential for harmful interference to
co-channel mobile satellite systems;
The maximum antenna gain permitted for
devices in the bands 5250-5350 MHz and
5470-5725 MHz shall comply with the e.i.r.p.
limit; and
The maximum antenna gain permitted
for devices in the band 5725-5825 MHz
shall comply with the e.i.r.p. limits specified
for point-to-point and non point-to-point
operation as appropriate.
The worst-case tilt angle(s) necessary to
remain compliant with the e.i.r.p. elevation
mask requirement set forth in Section
6.2.2(3) shall be clearly indicated.
Users should also be advised that high-power
radars are allocated as primary users (i.e.
priority users) of the bands 5250-5350 MHz
and 5650-5850 MHz and that these radars
could cause interference and/or damage to
LE-LAN devices.
