The Lakeland Dual Air Fryer, model 26920, is a versatile kitchen appliance designed to cook food in a healthier way, using little or no oil. It features a top grill that circulates hot air to cook food evenly from all directions, making it suitable for meat, fish, poultry, seafood, and baked goods. The appliance is particularly effective for frozen foods like French fries and scampi, and can fry up to 500 grams of homemade chips with minimal oil. It aims to reduce the mess and odors associated with traditional deep fat fryers.

Function Description:

The Dual Air Fryer operates with an LED touchscreen control panel and a clear countdown timer. Its dual option allows for cooking different foods simultaneously. The appliance is equipped with two crisper drawers: a large crisper drawer (5) and a small crisper drawer (7), each with its own handle (6 and 8 respectively) and non-stick tray (9 and 10). The cooking cavity and heating element (11) are located within the main unit. Air vents (1) and an air intake (4) ensure proper airflow during operation.

Usage Features:

The control panel (3) includes several icons for intuitive operation:

  • On/off power (1): Illuminates when plugged in and crisper drawers are in place. A single press puts the appliance in standby mode. A second press starts cooking. Pressing and holding for 2 seconds stops the device during cooking, displaying 'OFF'. During cooking, it can also pause and restart the process.
  • Preset (2): Allows scrolling through 8 preset heating functions (17-24), which include:

  • Larger crisper drawer (3) and Small crisper drawer (4): Icons illuminate when selected. Default to the Fries function. Pressing and holding for 2 seconds cancels the selection and enters standby mode.
  • Increase/Decrease icons (5, 6, 7, 8):
    • Large crisper drawer increase (5) and decrease (6) icons adjust cooking temperature in 5°C intervals (80°C to 200°C) and cooking time in 1-minute intervals (1 to 60 minutes). Holding the icon down allows for quick adjustments.
    • Small crisper drawer increase (7) and decrease (8) icons function similarly for the small crisper drawer.
  • Temperature function (9): Displays the current temperature, allowing adjustment using the increase/decrease icons.
  • Timer function (10): Displays the current time, allowing adjustment using the increase/decrease icons.

Operating Modes:

  • Power On Mode: Appliance beeps, digital display illuminates, and the on/off power icon illuminates, entering power on mode.
  • Standby Mode: Activated by pressing the on/off power icon. Large and small crisper drawer icons appear. If no icons are touched for 3 minutes, it returns to power on mode.
  • Dual Crisper Drawer Working Mode: Allows simultaneous cooking in both drawers with independent temperature and time settings. The display alternates between temperature and time, counting down.
  • Adjusting Temperature/Time During Cooking: Press the corresponding crisper drawer icon, then the function icon (temperature or time), and use the increase/decrease icons. The appliance resumes normal display after 3 seconds if no further input.
  • Adjusting Preset Function During Cooking: Lightly press the on/off power icon to pause. Select the crisper drawer, press the preset icon to change the function, then press the on/off power icon to resume.
  • Opening Crisper Drawer During Cooking: Pulling out a crisper drawer displays 'OPEN' and pauses the cooking cycle. Shaking ingredients is recommended. The appliance resumes when the drawer is replaced.
  • Memory Function: The appliance remembers the last used settings (temperature and time) for each crisper drawer's function. This memory persists unless the appliance is powered off for more than 1 hour.
  • Power Off Memory: If accidentally powered off, the appliance will return to its previous operating state if power is reapplied within 30 minutes.
  • Preheating: It is recommended to preheat the Dual Air Fryer with no food for 3 minutes at the required temperature.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Unplug and allow to cool completely (approx. 30 minutes) before cleaning. Removing crisper drawers helps them cool faster.
    • Wash crisper drawers and trays with hot, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge. For stuck ingredients, soak for 10 minutes and use a soft bristled brush.
    • Wipe the main unit and control panel with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
    • Clean cooking cavities with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.
    • Clean heating elements with a clean dry brush.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.
    • Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
  • Storage: Store with the power cable loosely coiled; do not wrap it tightly around the product.
  • Safety: The appliance has overheat protection. If the internal temperature exceeds 380°C, a fuse will cut out, requiring contact with customer care.

Safety Cautions:

  • Always use on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation (at least 15cm from walls/surfaces).

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
