Why is my Le Cappe ISLAND MOUNT HOODS not venting properly?
    • N
      Nicole MurphyJul 31, 2025
Several factors can affect the venting of your Le Cappe Ventilation Hood. Ensure the distance between the stove top and the hood's bottom is correct. Reduce the number of elbows and the length of duct work. Check that all joints are properly connected, sealed, and taped. For heavy cooking, make sure the power setting is high.

Why does my Le Cappe Ventilation Hood blower seem weak?
    • C
      Cheryl MurrayAug 10, 2025
A weak blower in your Le Cappe Ventilation Hood can be due to several reasons. First, check that the duct size used is at least 6” or 3-1/4 x 10”; the range hood will not function efficiently with an insufficient duct size. Also, check if the duct is clogged or if the damper unit (half-circular flapper) is not installed correctly or does not open properly. A tight mesh on a side wall cap unit might also restrict the airflow.

What to do if my Le Cappe ISLAND MOUNT HOODS light doesn't work after installation?
    • R
      Richard Wilson DDSAug 21, 2025
If the range hood or halogen light does not operate after installation, check if the range hood has been plugged in and that all power has been turned back on. Ensure the fuse hasn't blown and all electrical wiring is properly connected. If the issue persists, swap out the light assembly with a working one to determine if the problem is due to defective bulbs.
