Before you switch on
Plug in and switch on
Temperature control
Your wine cooler should not be installed on a
carpet, this may prevent sufficient air
circulation.
Don't locate your wine cooler near a heat
source, e.g. cooker, boiler or radiator. Avoid
placing in direct sunlight. An unheated
garage or outbuilding is also inappropriate.
Your wine cooler was not designed to
operate in an ambient temperature of less
than 16°C.
When installing it is important to keep a
minimum clearance of 50mm (2”) all around
the cabinet to allow for ventilation.
Remove all external and internal packing.
clean your wine cooler
We recommend that you clean your wine
cooler before use, refer to the section
‘Cleaning your wine cooler.’
leave your wine cooler for 2 hours
Before switching on leave your wine cooler
upright for 2 hours to allow the coolant fluid
time to settle.
ensure your wine cooler is level
Your wine cooler has four adjustable levelling
feet, two at the front and two at the back. A
very slight backward lean will ensure that the
door closes better.
The wine cooler runs on an electricity supply
of 220-240 V 50Hz and must be earthed.
Plug in the wine cooler and switch it on at the
socket.
To turn your wine cooler off, switch off at the
socket.
door lock
Your wine cooler is fitted with a door lock that
does not lock the door until the key is
removed.
going on holiday
If you’re going on holiday you may wish to
leave your wine cooler running, alternatively,
switch off, empty, clean and dry your wine
cooler and leave the door propped open to
allow the free movement of air.

electronic temperature controller
The internal temperature of your wine cooler
is controlled by an electronic temperature
controller situated in the front panel.
When you first switch the wine cooler
on, wait for 30 minutes before altering
the setting to let the wine cooler
stabilise. During this time the ‘Red’ wine
light may stay on.
The wine cooler is preset from the
factory to automatically accommodate
temperature requirements for red or
white wines. If you store mostly white
wines, press the ‘White’ button and the
wine cooler will maintain an average
temperature between 7 and 10°C.
Pressing the ‘Red’ button will yield an
average temperature between 13 and
16°C.
The wine cooler can be set to any
temperature required. To set the
temperature, press both the ‘Red’ and
‘White’ buttons simultaneously and
hold for approximately 3 seconds. You
are now in the ‘Temperature Set’ mode.
Decrease the temperature by pressing
the ‘White’ button and increase the
temperature by pressing the ‘Red’
button. When the temperature is set,
press the ‘Light’ button to return to
normal operating mode, the
temperature display will revert to
displaying the current internal
temperature.
There is up to a +/- 3 degree variance
between the temperature set and the
temperature indicated on the LED
readout. This is because of the cyclical
way that the cooler operates. There may
be up to 10°C variation between the top
and bottom shelves of the wine cooler.
therefore, if you have set the wine
cooler to 10°C and have a mix of red and
white wines, you may want to put the
white wine on the bottom shelf where
the temperature will be approximately
7°C and the red wine on the top shelf
where the temperature will be
approximately 13°C.
The temperatures achieved by the wine
cooler, between approximately 7°C and
16°C, are specifically designed for the
storage of wine and are not suitable for
the storage of food.
