Useful hints Troubleshooting
If your appliance is to be out of service for any
length of time ensure that the interior is
carefully cleaned and dried. Leave the door
open and disconnect the plug from the
mains socket.
Carry out regular cleaning as described
previously.
If condensation appears on the outside of
your wine cooler because it is in a cold
location, cleaning the outside with a good
wax furniture polish may help.

your wine cooler rattles
This could be because it is not standing level,
or not standing on all four feet. Try adjusting
the levelling feet.
See that vibration noises are not caused by
objects in contact with your appliance and
each other.
not working / stops cooling
Check it is plugged in and switched on.
Check the fuse in the plug has not blown.
the cabinet is too warm
This may be caused by frequent door
openings.
Check that the door gasket is sealing
properly, it may be helped by adjusting the
cabinet levelling feet.
Adjust the temperature controller to a colder
setting.
noises
Whooshing’ or ‘gurgling’ noises from the
circulation of refrigerant liquid is not a fault.
your wine cooler makes a humming
noise
This is the normal running of the compressor.
If it is on continuously your wine cooler is
probably getting too warm. This may be
caused by warm weather, the door being left
open too long, a rise in room temperature, a
damaged door seal or the door is not aligned
properly (an uneven gap can be seen above
the door). Check all these things. Try
adjusting the levelling feet to correct door
alignment problems.
water on the floor of the larder
This may be due to the defrost drain being
blocked. The drain may be cleared using the
drain clearing rod provided.
internal light doesn’t work
There may be a power supply problem. The
fluorescent tube may need replacing.
If the ideas given above have not solved the
problem, call customer service. Do not
attempt repairs on your own, particularly on
electrical components.
