B CONDITIONER ADJUSTMENTS
The conditioner of the SPLENDIMO MC mower conditioner allows
adjustment possibilities for the position of the top hood and
conditioner rotor. In addition, a different rotor speed can be
obtained.
Should the conditioner tend to get jammed in a long crop, it is
recommended to adjust the conditioner (i.e. increase the space
around the conditioner). The reverse situation applies if the machine
fails to take up a short crop effectively making it impossible to build
a neat swath (i.e. reduce the space around the conditioner).
B.1 Position of top hood
The clearance between the top hood and the conditioners rotor can
be adjusted in three positions.
- Unlock the latch of the crop inlet plate.
- Dismount the 10 bolts on either side of the machine (A, fig.B-1).
- Position the plate in front of the bolt holes and fit the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts firmly.
B.2 Moving the conditioning rotor
The clearance between the conditioner rotor and the cutter bar can
be adjusted in four positions.
- Open the V belt housing.
- Remove the tension from the V-belts.
- Dismount the 2 bolts on either side of the machine (B, fig.B-1).
- Position the entire conditioner component in front of the correct
bolt holes and fit the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts firmly.
- Tighten the V-belts. Adjust belt tension in such a way that, if a
70 N (7 kg) force is exerted on the middle, the V-belt is pushed in
10 mm (fig. B-2).
- Close the V belt housing.
