10. Slide the plastic bracket with Type-2 storage drive converter into the front-access storage enclosure
until it snaps into position.
11. Close the enclosure cover and lock it with the key.
12. Reinstall all the removed parts. Then, reconnect the power cord and all disconnected cables to the
computer.

Prerequisite
Before you start, read Appendix B “Important safety information” on page 109 and print the following
instructions.
Replacement procedure
1. Remove the computer cover. See “Computer cover” on page 46.
2. Remove the optical drive. See “Optical drive” on page 47.
3. Remove the front bezel. See “Front bezel” on page 51.
4. Disconnect the front fan cable from the front fan connector on the system board.
