TypesofWarrantyService
1.CustomerReplaceableUnit(“CRU”)Service
UnderCRUService,theServiceProviderwillshipCRUstoyouatitscostfor
installationbyyou.CRUinformationandreplacementinstructionsareshipped
withyourproductandareavailablefromLenovoatanytimeuponrequest.CRUs
thatareeasilyinstalledbyyouarecalled“Self-serviceCRUs”.“Optional-service
CRUs”areCRUsthatmayrequiresometechnicalskillandtools.Installationof
Self-serviceCRUsisyourresponsibility.YoumayrequestthataServiceProvider
installOptional-serviceCRUsunderoneoftheothertypesofwarrantyservice
designatedforyourproduct.Anoptionalserviceofferingmaybeavailablefor
purchasefromaServiceProviderorLenovounderwhichSelf-serviceCRUs
wouldbeinstalledforyou.YoumayfindalistofCRUsandtheirdesignationin
thepublicationthatwasshippedwithyourproductoratwww.lenovo.com/CRUs.
TherequirementtoreturnadefectiveCRU,ifany,willbespecifiedinthe
instructionsshippedwithareplacementCRU.Whenreturnisrequired:1)return
instructions,aprepaidreturnshippinglabel,andacontainerwillbeincludedwith
thereplacementCRU;and2)youmaybechargedforthereplacementCRUifthe
ServiceProviderdoesnotreceivethedefectiveCRUfromyouwithinthirty(30)
daysofyourreceiptofthereplacementCRU.
2.On-siteService
UnderOn-SiteService,aServiceProviderwilleitherrepairorexchangethe
productatyourlocation.Youmustprovideasuitableworkingareatoallow
disassemblyandreassemblyoftheproduct.Somerepairsmayneedtobe
completedataservicecenter.Ifso,theServiceProviderwillsendtheproductto
theservicecenteratitsexpense.
