Toremovetheservercover,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrives.Then,turnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.
2.Disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
3.Disconnectthepowercord(s),Input/Output(I/O)cables,andallothercablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
4.Removeanylockingdevicethatsecurestheservercover,suchasapadlockoranintegratedcable
lock.See“Serverlocks”onpage22.
5.Loosenthethumbscrewthatsecurestheservercoverandthenslidetheservercovertotherearuntilit
isstopped.
Notes:
a.Theservercoverissecurelyinstalledandyouneedtouseatool,suchasascrewdriver,toloosen
thethumbscrewthatsecurestheservercover.Thethumbscrewisanintegratedpartoftheserver
coveranddonottrytoremovethethumbscrewfromtheservercover.
b.Itisrecommendedthatyouwaitthreetoveminutestolettheservercoolbeforeremovingthe
