Boil dry protection:
If there is no water inside the glass kettle or if the water is under the minimum fill
line, the base will read E3 and not operate.
Cleaning:
1) Always disconnect the base from the main power before cleaning.
2) Do not immerse the base, glass kettle or electrical cord into water.
3) To clean the base, wipe it with a soft dry cloth.
4) To clean the outside of the glass kettle, wipe it with a soft moist cloth.
5) Never use scouring pads or abrasive materials on any of the parts.
6) Never clean the inside of the glass kettle with a vinegar solution.
