  If your Leroy-Somer Portable Generator's alternator frame is overheating (temperature 100°F over ambient), check the air inlets and outlets of the alternator for any blockages or hot air recirculation. Also, verify the control equipment (voltmeter-ammeter) to ensure the alternator is not functioning at a voltage exceeding 105% of its rated voltage on load. Finally, check the ambient temperature to ensure the alternator is not overloaded.
