What to do if...

Ensure that the shift position is in P and
depress the brake pedal.

Touch the Lexus emblem side of the
electronic key to the power switch.
When the electronic key is detected, a
buzzer will sound and the power switch
mode will change to ON.
If the smart access system with push-
button start has been disabled by a
customization setting, the power
switch mode will change to ACC.

Firmly depress the brake pedal and check that is shown on the multi-information
display.

Press the power switch shortly and firmly.
In the event that the EV system still cannot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.
If you need further assistance, contact your Lexus dealer.
Starting the EV system when the electronic key is not
operating normally
If the electronic key battery becomes depleted, a warning message will be shown on the
multi-information display. Replace the battery with a new one. For instructions on replacing
the battery, refer to the “OWNER’S MANUAL”.
