4-3. Do-it-yourself maintenance
■ Discharge headlights
● Do not touch the high voltage socket while the headlights are turned on.
The sockets are usually charged with 20,000 volts. Touching the socket may
cause severe injury due to electric shock.
■ To prevent damage or fire
● Make sure the bulb is fully seated and locked to prevent damage or fire.
● If your hands touch the glass portion of the bulb, wipe the bulb with alcohol
before use.
● Always have your Lexus dealer change the
discharged head lights.
(Including light bulbs.)
