It features an automatic error-monitoring system for early problem detection and diagnosis. The appliance can be customized with extra options and functions to suit specific washing needs.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model: F*V310*NE
  • Power Supply: 220-240 V~, 50 Hz
  • Product Weight: 68 kg
  • Dimensions (W x H x D): 600 mm x 850 mm x 565 mm (D' 620 mm, D'' 1100 mm)
  • Maximum Capacity: 10.5 kg for dry clothes (varies by program)

Usage Features

Installation:

  • Requires firm flooring (concrete is best) to minimize vibration.
  • Minimum clearances: 20 mm at sides, 100 mm behind.
  • Must be installed level using adjustable feet and the provided spanner. Rubber cups (part No. 4620ER4002B, available from LG service centre) are recommended for wooden floors to reduce vibration.
  • Not to be installed in rooms where freezing temperatures may occur.
  • Electrical connection requires an earthed socket within 1 meter of either side of the appliance.
  • Water supply hose connection: Use new hoses, hand-tighten only, and flush out foreign substances before connecting to the appliance. Connect to cold water supply only for single-inlet models.
  • Drain hose installation: Must be placed higher than 100 cm above the floor and secured to a sink or standpipe.

Operation Overview:

  • Before the first wash, run the Cotton program with half the detergent amount without clothes to remove manufacturing residues.
  • Loading: Sort clothes by fabric type, soil level, color, and load size. Combine large and small items, loading large items first. Do not wash single items. Check pockets for foreign objects.
  • Detergent and Softener: Use detergents suitable for drum (front load) washers. Follow manufacturer instructions for dosage. Liquid detergent can be poured directly into the main detergent drawer for immediate use, but not with Delay End or Pre Wash options. Fabric softener should be poured to the maximum fill line in its compartment; dilute if too thick. Detergent tablets can be placed directly in the drum.
  • Control Panel:
    • Power On/Off Button: Turns the machine on/off.
    • Programme Knob: Selects washing programs (Cotton, Eco 40-60, Mixed Fabric, Easy Care, Silent Wash, Hygiene, Baby Care, Delicates, Hand/Wool, Sportswear, Speed 14, Duvet, Tub Clean, Rinse+Spin).
    • Start/Pause Button: Starts or pauses the wash cycle.
    • Extra Options and Functions: Buttons for Temp., Spin, Rinse+, Intensive, Delay End, Add Item, Child Lock.
    • Display: Shows settings, estimated remaining time, options, and status messages. Includes AI DD™ indicator for appropriate drum rotation.
  • Washing Programs: Each program has default settings for temperature and spin speed, which can be customized.
  • Extra Options:
    • Temp.: Selects wash temperature (Cold to 95°C).
    • Spin: Selects spin intensity level (No spin to 1400 rpm).
    • Rinse+: Adds an extra rinse cycle, recommended for detergent allergies.
    • Intensive: For normal and heavily soiled clothes.
    • Pre Wash: Recommended for heavily soiled loads.
    • Delay End: Delays the end of the wash cycle.
    • Add Item: Allows adding items after the cycle has started.
  • Child Lock: Disables controls (except Power) to prevent children from changing settings. Activated by pressing and holding Delay End and Add Item buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
  • Beep On/Off: Toggles the melody played at start and stop.
  • Smart Functions:
    • LG ThinQ Application: Allows communication with the appliance via smartphone for convenient smart features.
    • Smart Diagnosis™: Provides troubleshooting information through audible tones transmitted to a smartphone.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning After Every Wash:

  • Remove items immediately after the cycle to reduce wrinkling, color transfer, and odor.
  • Wipe the door and door seal to remove moisture.
  • Leave the door slightly open to dry the drum.
  • Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth.
  • Clean the door inside and out with a damp cloth, then dry.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or sharp objects.

Cleaning Periodically & Emergency Water Evacuation:

  • Tub Clean: A special function to clean the inside of the appliance by soaking, washing, rinsing, and spinning. Recommended once a month or more often if needed.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Collects lime and sediment. Clean every six months or more often if water is hard. Turn off water supply, unscrew the hose, remove the filter with pliers, and clean with a brush.
  • Drain Pump Filter: Collects threads and small objects. Clean every six months. Unplug the appliance, open the cover cap, pull out the drain tube, remove the drain plug to drain water, then slowly unscrew the drain pump filter to remove debris. Be careful as water may be hot.
  • Dispenser Drawer: Detergent and fabric softener can build up. Remove the drawer by pulling it straight out, rinse with warm water, and clean the recess with a cloth or non-metal brush. Reassemble after drying.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides detailed tables for error messages (IE, UE, DE, LE, FE, PE, FF, RE, PF, u5) and other symptoms (rattling, thumping, vibrating, water leaking, poor stain removal, staining, wrinkling, odor), along with possible causes and solutions. It recommends checking these tables before calling for service.

Customer Care and Service: Contact LG Electronics customer information centre for service. Self-repair is not recommended as it could damage the device and void the guarantee. Spare parts referenced in Regulation 2019/2023 are available for a minimum duration of 10 years. Information on WEEE disposal and recycling is also provided.
