Detergent and Fabric Softener Dispensing:
The dispenser drawer has compartments for main wash detergent, fabric softener, and pre-wash detergent. Users should not exceed the maximum fill line for fabric softener to prevent overflow. Softener is automatically added during the last rinse cycle. Water softener (Anti limescale) can be added to the main wash compartment.
Special Functions:
- Time Delay: Allows users to set a delayed start for the wash cycle, up to 19 hours.
- Spin Speed Selection: Users can choose from various spin speeds (1400, 1200, 1000, 800, 400, No Spin, Rinse Hold) depending on the model and program.
- Rinse Hold: Keeps clothes submerged in water after the final rinse to prevent creasing, requiring a manual drain or spin.
- Tub Clean: A special cycle using higher water levels and spin speeds to clean the inside of the washer. It is recommended to perform this cycle regularly without any clothing or detergent, adding anti-limescale (Calgon) to the main wash compartment.
Installation:
- Transit bolts: The appliance is fitted with transit bolts to prevent internal damage during transport. These must be removed before using the washer.
- Level adjustment: The machine must be installed on a solid, level floor to prevent excessive noise and vibration. Adjustable feet allow for precise leveling.
- Electrical connection: Requires a properly grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or double adapters.
- Water supply: Connects to a normal tap with a thread and screw type inlet hose or a one-touch type inlet hose. Water pressure should be between 100-1000kPa.
- Drain hose installation: The drain hose should be secured tightly and placed no higher than 100 cm above the floor to prevent water leakage and abnormal noise.
Maintenance Features:
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine.
Water Inlet Filter:
The water inlet filter should be checked and cleaned regularly to prevent clogging from hard water deposits or traces of lime. This involves turning off the water tap, unscrewing the inlet hose, cleaning the filter with a hard bristle brush, and then re-tightening the hose.
Drain Pump Filter:
The drain pump filter collects threads and small objects from the laundry. It should be checked regularly and cleaned to ensure smooth running of the machine. This involves opening the lower cover, unplugging the drain plug to release water, removing any foreign material from the pump filter, and then reassembling.
Dispenser Drawer:
Detergent and fabric softener residues can accumulate in the dispenser drawer. It should be cleaned from time to time with a jet of running water. The upper part of the fabric softener compartment can be removed for easier cleaning.
Washing Drum:
The washing drum can accumulate limescale, especially in hard water areas. It should be cleaned periodically. The use of descaling agents, dyes, or bleaches should be done carefully as they might damage the machine. Stainless steel cleaning agents can be used for rust spots.
Cleaning the Washer Exterior and Interior:
- Exterior: Clean with warm water and a neutral non-abrasive household detergent. Wipe dry with a damp cloth. Do not use methylated spirits, diluents, or similar products.
- Interior: Dry around the washer door opening, flexible gasket, and door glass after each use. Run a complete cycle using hot water periodically.
- Cold condition: If the washer is stored in an area where freezing may occur, follow specific instructions to prevent damage. This includes turning off the water supply, disconnecting hoses, plugging the electrical cord into a grounded outlet, adding non-toxic recreational vehicle (RV) antifreeze into an empty wash drum, and running a spin cycle. After storage, remove antifreeze by running a complete cycle with detergent.
