Function Description
The LG Washing Machine is a front-loading washing machine designed to efficiently clean clothes. It incorporates several advanced features to enhance performance, user convenience, and safety.
Key Features:
- Inverter Direct Drive System: Utilizes an advanced Brushless DC motor that directly drives the drum without a belt and pulley, leading to improved durability and reduced noise.
- 6 Motion Technology: The washer is capable of performing various drum actions or a combination of different actions depending on the wash program selected. Combined with a controlled spin speed, it optimizes washing performance and provides excellent results every time.
- Protection against creases: The alternating rotation of the drum minimizes creasing in clothes.
- Built-in heater: An internal heater automatically heats the water to the best temperature for selected cycles, ensuring effective cleaning.
- More economical with Intelligent Wash system: The Intelligent Wash System detects the size of the load and water temperature, then determines the optimum water level and washing time to minimize energy and water consumption.
- Child Lock: Prevents children from pressing any button to change the settings during operation, enhancing safety.
- Low noise speed control system: By sensing the amount of load and balance, it evenly distributes the load to minimize spinning noise.
- Auto Restart: Allows the program to restart automatically after a power failure, resuming from the stage where it stopped.
- Smart Diagnosis™: This function is available for products with a Smart Diagnosis™ mark. It allows for easy troubleshooting by transmitting diagnostic information to a call center via a smartphone, reducing the need for service calls.

Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine.
Water Inlet Filter:
- Turn off the water tap.
- Unscrew the water inlet hose.
- Clean the filter using a hard bristle brush.
- Tighten up the inlet hose.
- Clean the filter if the "IE" icon is displayed on the control panel or if water flow is very hard.
Drain Pump Filter:
- Open the lower cover cap.
- Pull out the hose and unplug the drain plug to remove any remaining water.
- Remove any extraneous matter from the pump filter.
- After cleaning, carefully refit the cap by slowly turning it clockwise and insert the drain plug.
- Close the lower cover cap.
- Clean the filter regularly to prevent blockages and ensure smooth running of the machine. Be careful when draining if the water is hot.
Dispenser Drawer:
- Pull out the dispenser drawer.
- Clean the dispenser drawer under water.
- Clean inside the recess with an old toothbrush.
- Insert the dispenser drawer.
- Clean regularly to prevent detergent and fabric softener residue buildup.
Washing Drum:
- Regularly check for foreign objects, limescale, and rust.
- The washing drum is made of stainless steel; rust can be caused by small metal articles (paper clips, safety pins) which have been left in the drum.
- The washing drum should be cleaned from time to time.
- Use descaling agents or bleaches suitable for washing machines.
- Do not use chemicals that may damage parts of your washing machine.
- Remove any spots with a stainless steel cleaning agent.
- Never use steel wool.
Cleaning Your Washer:
- Exterior: Clean the exterior with warm water and a neutral non-abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills. Do not use methylated spirits, diluents, or similar products.
- Interior: Dry around the washer door opening, flexible gasket, and door glass. Run a washer through a complete cycle using hot water. Repeat process if necessary.
- Cold conditions: If the washer is stored in an area where freezing may occur, follow these instructions to prevent damage: turn off water supply tap, disconnect hoses, plug electrical cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet, add 1 gallon (3.8L) of nontoxic recreational vehicle (RV) antifreeze into an empty wash drum, close the door, set spin cycle and let washer spin for 1 minute to drain out all water. Unplug electrical power cord, dry the drum interior, and close the door. Remove dispenser drawer and dry excess water from the compartments. Store washer in an upright position. To remove antifreeze from washer after storage, run empty washer through a complete cycle using detergent. Do not add wash load.
